Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Adelitics Pty Ltd, trading as Adelitics ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, holds and discloses personal information.

Adelitics provides preventative intelligence for water networks: advanced acoustic and fibre-sensing analytics for leak-before-break monitoring, anomaly detection and defect localisation. Most of the data we work with relates to infrastructure, not people. However, in running our business and website we do handle some personal information, and we are committed to protecting it.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where we operate or provide services in other regions, we also comply with any other privacy laws that apply to us in those places.

2. What personal information we collect

The personal information we collect is generally limited to business contact details and information needed to run our website and services.

This may include:

  • Your name and the organisation you work for;

  • Your business contact details, such as email address and phone number;

  • The content of enquiries, messages and correspondence you send us;

  • Technical information about your visit to our website (see clause 5).

We do not seek to collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or political information) and ask that you do not send it to us.

3. How we collect personal information

We usually collect personal information directly from you, for example when you contact us through our website form, email us, engage with us about our services, or attend a meeting or event. We may also collect it from your organisation, from publicly available sources such as professional or company websites, or from partners we work with, where it is reasonable to do so.

If we collect information about you from someone else, we will handle it in line with this policy.

4. Why we collect and use personal information

We collect and use personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and communicate with you;

  • Provide, manage and improve our services and our relationship with your organisation;

  • Carry out our work with clients and partners;

  • Send you relevant updates or information where you would reasonably expect it (see clause 7);

  • Maintain the security of our website and systems; and

  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We will only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, or as otherwise permitted by law or with your consent.

5. Sensor, network and analytics data

The acoustic, fibre-optic, sensor, network and asset data we analyse for our clients generally relates to water infrastructure and does not identify individuals. If any such data happens to include personal information, we will treat it as personal information under this policy and handle it in accordance with our agreement with the relevant client and the Privacy Act.

Our website is hosted using a third-party website platform and may use cookies and analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it. You can usually manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

6. Who we disclose personal information to

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Our staff and contractors who need it to do their work;

  • Service providers who support our business, such as IT, hosting, analytics and communications providers;

  • Our clients and partners, where relevant to delivering services and where appropriate;

  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants; and

  • Government bodies, regulators or others where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Overseas disclosure

Adelitics works with clients and partners across multiple countries, and some of our service providers (including website hosting and IT providers) may store or process information outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Direct communications and marketing

From time to time we may send you information we think is relevant to your role, such as updates about our services. We will only do this where it is lawful and where you would reasonably expect it. Every marketing message will include a way to opt out, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing info@adelitics.com.au. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

9. How we store and protect personal information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including through appropriate technical and organisational security measures. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us at info@adelitics.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time. In some cases we may not be able to provide access, for example where the law allows or requires us to refuse, and if so we will explain why.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us at info@adelitics.com.au and we will look into it and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

12. Changes to this policy
