Chengcheng Yin is a PhD candidate at Adelaide University, specialising in hydraulic modelling, leak detection and signal processing.

He has ten years of experience in water engineering, with a particular interest in developing reduced-order models, including 1D and coupled 1D–3D models, to simulate complex hydraulic systems such as large-scale pipeline networks, pump-turbines and hydropower systems. His PhD research focuses on field-scale leak characterisation and leak detection, using a 300-metre buried pipeline at the Waite Campus test facility.

At Adelitics, Chengcheng supports field operations, acoustic and pressure data analysis, and project delivery.

Adelitics acknowledges the Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the Adelaide Plains, where much of our team is based. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We recognise the deep cultural significance of land and water to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and respect the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which our clients and partners operate.
